Our Flag
by Barry S. Maltese
As I watch our Flag Dance in the air
I think of those who have kept it there
Those who stared into Danger's Face
Challenging death, for the whole Human Race
Fighting off the enemy, and the elements, too
Because it was something they knew they had to do
They gave their all without hesitation
some not returning for the celebration
Freedom had such a heavy price to pay
and the heroes deserve more than a weekend in May
So every time you see our Flag Proudly wave
Remember our heroes, and the sacrifice they gave
